A system administrator has to cope with a manifold of duties. Those tasks vary considerably from one organization to another. A system administrator or a sysadmin is a person employed to maintain, and operate a multi-user computer system or a network, e.g. a local-area network (LAN). Typical duties of a sysadmin may include: adding and configuring new computers, user managements, installing and maintaining software, tuning and configuring an operating system, system security and allocation of storage space.
This Linux system administration seminar aims at teaching students the essential skills and knowledge to successfully master an administrators job.
